156 turkey hunters participated in this year’s contest! Congratulations to this year’s winning team, Roost Invaders! The pictures show only the top 10 teams and individual category winners.
This was such a great spring turkey season and we had a blast tracking everyone who participated in this year’s 3rd Annual Spring Turkey Slam Hunting Contest!
It got competitive and big numbers were put up. The stake keeps getting pushed higher each year we do this!
For everyone involved in the turkey hunting contest and your guest is invited to the awards banquet dinner this Friday at Hunter’s Creek Club in Metamora, MI. 5:30-7:30 will be the event (all cost covered by our generous sponsoring companies!) and people are more than welcome to stick around after to enjoy the nice patio on the lake with beverages, cigars and good conversations!
Email announcements have been going out to all members and participants these last few weeks - please RSVP by end of day today. We have a solid group confirmed so far!

In 2023 a new law was passed resulting in a shortened coyote hunting season in the state of Michigan. This has caused an uproar throughout the outdoors community now that the law is officially in effect and has led to multiple law suits and many eye balls looking into how that decision was made. They discuss the framework around the whole matter, what to expect as possible future outcomes, and how this effects future discussion making for all outdoor policy.
Steve also shares about the many great things the organization has been working on to help protect, conserve, and promote our lands and waterways. This goes for both public and private properties.
