On this episode of ‘Network Outdoors The Podcast’ Brandon Malson meets with owner of Great Lakes Guided Outdoors, Conner Gough @michigan_duckman , to go deep on how to spend your time and what to do to be successful turkey hunting opening day.
Conner and the GLGO team have a wild success rate of getting their clients a close range shot 100% of the time, every season, for the last 11 years in business. Having a track record like that certainly doesn’t begin on opening morning at first light.
A lot of work goes into being a successful Spring Turkey Hunter and Conner shares some valuable insight to his scouting tactics the 11 months outside of season. He discusses turkey behaviors at different times of the day, morning/midday/evening scenarios, changing decoy setups based on various situations, calling strategies and sequences to use, favorite ammo types paired with different choke tubes, ideal turkey environments and conservation efforts, turkey predators, the beauty of a turkey camp experience, and much more!

Kyle Nieporte and his family got out on some sailfish and shark action in Florida!
Sailfish was 91 inches & 100 lbs, and shark was over 5 1/2 feet and about 100 lbs!

With the warmer waters starting back in February it was tough fishing this weekend when it would normally be 🔥🔥🔥 A few of us still managed to land a few but catching fish is only a fraction of the fun. The food and snacks were on point! Members came in from all over the state of Michigan - most meeting for the first time. Very cool, excellent new connections, and a blast of a time! 🎣🏕️
